Communities Impacted by Mining
The complex nature of hazardous contamination issues makes it difficult to solely conduct investigations in a laboratory or greenhouse. An added layer of complexity is the multiple disciplines required and the need to incorporate community viewpoints into understanding contamination and developing remediation solutions. As a result, our Center has prioritized focus on transdisciplinary research that includes all affected parties.
